Signing Off …

I’ve greatly enjoyed spending October with Prawfsblawg, and I’m very thankful to Dan and Ethan for inviting me back for another visit. Thank you also to everyone who responded to my various posts, either here or to me directly. On a final note, I’ll follow up on one of my questions in an earlier post, where I asked whether banishment still happens anywhere in this country. Well, apparently in at least one form it does – about 10 towns around the country have enacted laws designed to prevent illegal immigrants from living there, and 32 more towns are considering such laws. A federal judge in Pennsylvania has enjoined one of these town ordinances pending a full review. We’ll see whether the injunction hints at the future of these laws.
