This week, we celebrate the 3d birthday of Prawfsblawg — now, hopefully easier to remember as simply Prawfs.com. If you’re wondering about the origins of the blog’s name, you can find it here. In fact, three years ago today, we had posts about the expressive politics of urinal disinfectants, a man’s right to choose an abortion, and shaming punishments. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
We could not have lasted this long or as happily without all of you as both writers and readers. As you can see from our ever-expanding alumni and guest list, the Prawfs community grows every year and we want to continue to welcome especially the cohort of prawfs rising into their first year of law teaching this summer. If you’re a rising prawf, and have questions about research canons, or casebook selection or crafting a syllabus for a particular course, then please peruse the extensive coverage under the “Life of Law Schools” and “Teaching Law” categories that repay some repeated visits. And if you are interested in introducing yourself to the academic law community through a guest stint next fall or having a post up on Prawfs.com–or if you’re interested in introducing one of your new colleagues to the world of Prawfs.com–please send me an email with the info that you’d like to see posted, and we’ll do a series of welcome posts. Happy 3d Birthday– or should it be Anniversary?? In any event, thanks again to all the permaprawfs, guest prawfs, readers and our sponsor these last couple years, Aspen Publishers, particularly Jen Armstrong.

Special congratulations to Dan, who has kept this place moving and growing as a vibrant community for law profs, students, and other folks interested in the law. In particular, I am constantly impressed by Dan’s ability to get such a great group of guests to visit and share their wisdom. I can only imagine what his Blackberry contacts list looks like.
