If I may be permitted to toot someone else’s horn — and yes, I know that sounds awkward — let me call your collective attention to our co-blogger Rick Garnett’s recent piece in Commonweal (a magazine whose readership might conceivably double, given the publicity it gets here and on MoJ and its small existing readership). In it, Rick reviews recent books on law and religion by Noah Feldman, Marci Hamilton, and Winnifred Fallers Sullivan. Short and sweet, it’s a nice introduction to these books with some valuable commentary. Although I think you may be too kind to Hamilton, Rick! (And I say that as someone who thinks her book is nevertheless important.) Read the whole thing, as they routinely say — and read it offline, both because that’s your only option and because Commonweal needs your support.

Thanks for the plug, Paul! And yes, I’d encourage readers to check out Commonweal. Like “Prawfsblawg,” it is center-left but welcoming to and respectful of “conservatives” like me.
