Bingham’s papers are not fully digitized or easily accessible. This is a problem for 14th Amendment scholarship. It would take money, a host institution, and the cooperation of various archives to fill this gap. I’m happy to work on this. A model would be the Bushrod Washington Papers project being run out of Mount Vernon, which is doing terrific research.
Maybe if I get the time I will look into applying for a grant to make this happen. But I sometimes get sidetracked by other ideas.
