When you think about it, it’s pretty insane that the person 4th in the line of presidential succession is the oldest member of the Senate’s majority party. (Right now, Chuck Grassley–age 93). The Succession Act was written in 1947, which predates the development of the modern Senate Majority Leader (more or less invented by LBJ). The Succession Act needs to be updated.
