Guest blawger Katy Kuh, signing on.

Thank you to Dan for inviting me to join PrawfsBlawg for another guest blawging stint. With my grades just submitted, I’m looking forward to a month of research, writing, and blawging. Oh, and in my spare time, chasing after a 17-month-old who moves at the speed of light, believes everything could benefit from a dip in the toilet, and already identifies the computer (and w-o-r-k, which we have to spell out in this household) as his nemeses. Suffice to say, gone are the days when I could lounge on the computer, scanning the news for blawg-worthy items and quickly researching and responding to every comment. So please accept my apologies in advance for a few “canned” posts that I’ve tucked away in the hopper and if my responses to comments are a bit slow. I’m not resting on my laurels, just fishing my cell phone out of the lav.

Lyrissa: something works?!

Wait till you have adult children. I have one who is going to live and work for the summer in an NEA funded artists’ cooperative. I said, “what the hell is an artists’ cooperative? Do you paint by day, and then sit in the lotus position and smoke dope by night?” His response: “I don’t know about the lotus position.”

Welcome. With three sons (11, 8, 5) swarming while I blawg, I can also relate. I’ve given up on the idea of work-life balance. Instead, my motto is “whatever works.”

My god, that sounds familiar. Except: now there are 3 of them; they are 13, 11 and 7; and I’m more likely to be fishing the 7 year old out of the toilet and yelling at the 13 year old for putting her in it.
